SMART.COM switch and SMART.DIC solution
IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) ready

The SMART.COM switch is a device witch combines Ethernet router (level 2) functionality and electrical equipment monitoring and control (at electrical power plants and substations) functionality.

SMART.COM main functions are:

  • The information acquisition about the automation object

  • User data processing

  • Data display and emergency alarm

  • Electrical equipment control

  • Exchange of technological information with related systems and dispatch centers

  • Oscillogram collection and analysis

SMART.COM controls relay protection and automation devices, measurement transducers, meters, signals input/output devices via IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, Modbus. The control logic programming are provided in FBD-format charts (protocol IEC 61131).

The great advantages of Smart.Com is ability to change embedded software to realise other data exchange and control protocols so it provides possibilities be used in other idustries and solutions.

SMART.COM switches may be clustered into SMART.DIC network (Distributed Intellectual Computing) to provide high availability (fault tolerance cluster) and load balancing.

Other significant advantages are:

  • Multiple dynamic redundancy

  • Low power consumption

  • High supervision and control operations speed

  • Unlimited scalability

  • Low operating cost (OC) and total cost of ownership (TCO) - no rotating parts, operating period up to 40 years

  • Operates in a wide temperature range

SMART.COM in accordance with IIRA

In accordance with IIC IIRA with reference to electrical utilities control systems the SMART.COM is located in CONTROL DOMAIN and OPERATIONS DOMAIN and realises all their functions.
